2. What age can a dog start training?

Training can begin from puppyhood. The appropriate program depends on the dog's age, development, temperament and individual needs. Early training can help establish good habits before unwanted behaviours become established.

3. Does every dog need the same training program?

No. Every dog is different. We consider the dog's age, temperament, behaviour, training history, abilities, and your goals when determining the most appropriate program.

4. How long does dog training take?

Training time varies depending on the dog's starting level, the goals of the program, and the type of training required. Some skills can be established relatively quickly, while more advanced training requires ongoing development and reinforcement.

5. Do owners need to participate in training?

Yes. Owner and handler involvement is important for maintaining the skills learned during training. We help owners understand how to reinforce appropriate behaviour and maintain consistency at home.

6. Can you help with unwanted behaviours?

9. Is boarding available without training?

Yes, subject to availability and our boarding requirements. Dogs may stay at our facility without participating in a training program.

10. What should I bring when boarding my dog?

Owners should provide the items and information required for their dog's stay, which may include food, feeding instructions, medications where applicable, emergency contact information, and other relevant care instructions.

11. Does Magnumforce K9 train protection dogs?

Yes. We offer personal protection and property protection training for dogs that are assessed as suitable for this type of work. Protection training focuses on obedience, control, stability, and appropriate responses rather than uncontrolled aggression.

12. Can any dog become a protection dog?

No. Protection work requires specific temperament and behavioural characteristics. Each dog should be assessed for suitability before advanced protection training begins.

13. Do you train dogs for sporting events?

Yes. We provide training for selected canine sporting activities based on the dog's abilities, physical condition, temperament, and training level. Activities may include tracking, retrieving, scent work, high jump, long jump, weight pulling, lure coursing, disc dog, dock diving, and other suitable disciplines.

14. What are the health and vaccination requirements?

Dogs entering training or boarding must meet our current health and vaccination requirements. Owners will be advised of the requirements before their dog's admission and should disclose any relevant medical conditions or medications.

15. Can aggressive or difficult dogs be accepted?

Each dog is assessed individually. Certain behavioural issues may require specialized handling, additional precautions, or referral to an appropriate professional. Acceptance is based on the dog's behaviour and the safety of the dog, staff, and other animals.
